Tim has been involved in the construction and restoration business for over 48 years. Born and raised in Minnesota, he began his career as a general contractor for 12 years in the state. He also worked in South Carolina as a general contractor for three years and in Florida for two years. After learning the industry, he began working for multiple insurance companies as an insurance adjuster in numerous states. He has lived in California, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas during the hurricane seasons. After 14 years working for the insurance company, he decided it was the property and homeowners (The Insureds) that he wanted to help get a proper settlement with their insurance providers and correct how poorly and unfairly the Insureds were being treated. His integrity had taken over, and he wanted to make sure the people were being taken care of fairly. He began working as a structural damage assessor during the North Ridge, California Earthquake for Pilot and State Farm. He then started working as a public adjuster for both residential and commercial losses. Fifteen years ago, in 2011, he started Independent Public Adjusters, LLC, and has continued to grow ever since. When you love your job, your job doesn't seem like work. Tim loves what he does and plans to continue to grow his business for many years to come.

In Minnesota, you may need to hire an appraiser and invoke the appraisal process when your insurance company denies your claim or refuses to pay the full amount of damages you believe should be covered under your policy. The appraisal clause found in most home and commercial property insurance policies allows you and the insurer to each hire an independent, licensed appraiser to evaluate the loss when there’s a dispute about the (amount of the loss, which includes the scope of the damages). This process provides a neutral, legally recognized way to resolve disagreements without going to court, helping ensure you receive a fair and accurate assessment of what your insurer should pay based on the actual damages found by the appraisal panel, consisting of your appraiser, the insurer’s appraiser, and an neutral umpire.
We understand that hiring a Public Adjuster (PA) and filing a claim can be time consuming and confusing. The point of our service is to take away the confusion involving your claim, make sure you are paid exactly what you are owed, and to make your life easier.

No. An insurance adjuster is a hired adjuster by a particular insurance company. A public adjuster does not work for or get paid by the insurance company. They are hired strictly by the homeowner working on their behalf.
Our Public Adjusters provide complementary property inspections and consultation, including all coverage issues and questions. We use your contract (policy) to answer these questions on your behalf.
State laws & contract terms (your policy) protect you and clearly define circumstances where your insurance company can “cancel” or “drop” a customer. These reasons include unpaid premiums, material misrepresentation in the insurance application process, the risk to insure your property changed substantially since policy was issued, or fraudulent activities. You can NOT be dropped for a weather related claim or act of God.
With rare exceptions, your rates will not go up for simply making a claim on your insurance. Our public adjusters can speak more specifically to your situation.
